My Life

My photo
What a life I have lived since setting off into the sunset in August of 2008, with my husband, Dave, on our 46 foot Hunter Sailboat. We sailed to the Mainland side of Mexico; Mazatlan, Puerto Vallarta, and many small anchorages in between. We saw unbelievable sea life and scenery. Our adventures took us to the Sea of Cortez for hurricane season in 2009 anchored off the fishing village of Bahia de los Angeles, in Baja California. We fell in love with the village and it's people and got to know a few of the Americans that enjoy living there in the winter. We knew we had found our paradise and looked for a place to live. We found a small house on the sandy beach at the south end of the bay and made it a permanent home. We ended our cruising life to become CLODs and eventually sold Wave Sweeper in May of 2016. Because of my back problems we were unable to make long passages so our cruising had come to an end. Now Wave Sweeper is in good hands with the new owners and they love her. We are living our life and dream as we want and the adventures will only get better.

Friends And Family Fun

Next morning Conor was all happy and rested. He was glad to be home and in his own bed. Ernie and Brooke too. Brooke asked on Friday if we could stay the weekend and we said we could, but then they found out they had a bunch of stuff to do on Saturday so we just said we would go back to our trailer and we would see them when they another time. So we left around 10:00am and stopped at Cabela's to check out some camp chairs. They were really nice and on sale. I sat in one and it was good so we got two. Then it was to the ferry. We had about an hour wait. We finally got back to the trailer. We had been invited to watch fireworks off the Manette Bridge at Ron and Noreen's friends house who have a view of the bridge. We have been wanting to see their house, so now we can get a tour. They made their downstairs an Air B&B. It is an old house with lots of charm. There was an air show with a Bi-plane so we got to watch that and then we had dinner.

After dinner it was starting to get dark so we all brought things in and waited around the upstairs window for the show. It was a really good show. I took a video but will just show pictures here of both the air show and the fireworks. Dave and I didn't live far from the Manette bridge when we lived in Washington, so it was pretty neat to see that they close the bridge to car and foot traffic for an hour, a few days before the 4th to bring this show every year.

Because I posted the blog too early for June, I left out the above information about Conor. So in essence this is a end of June first of July blog. Ha! With that said----I will continue on for July!

Jonathan, my son, called us to ask if we could watch the boys for the 5th as their day care was going to be closed. So we thought it would be fun to have Jon drop them at our trailer on the 4th, and we would keep the boys overnight and bring them back to Jon late afternoon, after he got home from work on the 5th. He didn't know if Susannah would have the 5th off, so we figured it was just better to have the boys so they wouldn't have to worry about it. We didn't have any plans for the 4th anyway so it worked out.

On the 4th Jon brought the boys over and visited with us a while before taking off for home without the boys. Since it was in the morning, I decided I would pack a lunch for us and take the boys to a park close by. Lions Field has always been a fun spot for kids to play but my girlfriend told me they now have a kid size zip line!!! Well hey----I knew the boys would love that plus it is by the water so they can have some beach time. The tide was way out and there was a lot of seaweed and of course rocks covered in barnacles so I didn't let them go down to the water due to them not having water shoes or boots on. So they weren't too happy about that but later on it didn't matter as they played in the sand, found shells and uncovered baby crabs. Then the boys were hungry so we ate lunch on the beach. After that they wanted to go to the playground so we packed up all our beach toys and headed in that direction. Once they saw the zip line they spent most of their time there. There wasn't a lot of people/kids there so basically they had it all to themselves. It wasn't long before they both were just zipping across back and forth. They had a blast. It had been a cool cloudy day but the sun came out and it got pretty warm. Then they ventured out to climb on the other playground apparatuses. Then it was time to leave. The boys were really tired. So we went back to the trailer and chilled.

The pictures I took of the boys on the zip line were movies so they aren't here.

They love sleeping on the sofa/couch. They think it is neat. It is a queen so there is enough room for both of them to sleep comfortably. Since it was the 4th I bought some light up bracelets for them to wear to help celebrate. Next day it was cloudy and cool but not raining so we went down to Illahee State Park which is just about 2 blocks away from where we are staying. We went down to the beach and the boys had their water shoes on so I let them wade in the water. Cameron loved collecting shells and there were some huge oyster shells there. He didn't take them home, however. The boys had a lot of fun finding baby crabs and playing in the sand. We even found a horse crab in the rocks. I never saw one so it was exciting to be able to point it out to the boys. We had lunch on the beach and then they wanted to leave as they were cold.

So we came back to the trailer and played in the yard for a while. Cameron picked Grandma flowers.

Then Jon text us to let us know he was home so we could bring the boys. We packed the truck with all their stuff and them and off we went. The boys were happy to be home again but they had fun!!

I had a dermatology appointment on the 8th, so my girlfriend, Judy, drove me there so we could stop and do some shopping and have lunch before the appointment. I really liked the doctor. She was thorough and checked my body for any suspicious marks and froze the problem areas on my face and nose. I felt so much better knowing nothing is cancerous and as long as I wear sunscreen and a hat I should be alright. No more laying in the sun anymore. Those days are gone. It was nice to have the time with my girlfriend too.

Dave and I left the next day and took our trailer to Kitsap Memorial Park near the Hood Canal Bridge. It is a nice park but didn't like the sites being so close together.

But it turned out alright and we met some veterans, and nice people while we were there. I went to the beach a couple times and looked at the pebbles. Not much sand. Found some rocks for Brody, our grandson. I took a walk around the park and did some reading. Relaxing time. Our friend, Laurie, who doesn't live far from the park came for a visit. It was nice to see her. She stayed for dinner as her husband wasn't home so no need to rush home for anything. After dinner she left and we ended up talking to a nice couple staying in the park. He was a principal of a school and she was a teacher. It is so neat to meet different people and find out a little bit of their life. We stayed at the park 3 days and left on the 4th day and went to our old stomping grounds, Brownsville Marina. Ron and Noreen were having the house rewired so we thought it best not be around and we could enjoy the amenities of full hook up at the park. Brownsville had just electrical. We don't mind as we filled our water tank and emptied the black and gray water tank before leaving the park. It was nice to visit with some of our friends that still come to and live at the marina.

We were invited to the Brownsville Yacht Club Officers picnic which was really cool. We never was told or saw anything about it until we were talking to one of the gals and she said we had to come. So we did. It was nice to spend some time with old friends. We used to belong to the yacht club when we lived here.

Since we were camping at the Marina I thought it would be a good time to display and sell my crafts one day. I couldn't do it before Monday the 15th, as we just got there on Friday. I had to make a sign and make sure all crafts had an amount on them. It sprinkled on and off all day on Monday which hampered sales plus it was a work day. Oh well. Sunday would have been a beautiful day to try and sell my stuff, but since it was such a warm and beautiful day, I probably wouldn't have gotten many lookers as they were all enjoying the weather. I did end up making some sales so now I have enough to go get some of the supplies I need. A friend of ours came by after she got off work and visited and bought 3 of my things. Earlier her husband had gotten some granite pebbles from Alaska and gave me 4 to make earrings for her for her birthday. So I made some money there and she was thrilled I made them.

We stayed 5 days at the marina and then went back to Ron and Noreen's yard. It was a little bit of a challenge for Dave to back the trailer into the spot Ron wanted us to go. He didn't want us back in the spot we were as he wanted to look out his window and see green instead of a trailer. Ha!! It wasn't a straight back parking. Ron helped Dave with instructions and Dave finally got the trailer in the spot. We will be here for a while as it is getting expensive for us to camp. Plus we only get 9 miles to the gallon when we pull the trailer. So we will slow down a bit. We are planning on going back to Brownsville toward the end of August for 3 days so that will be good.

Dave and I took a drive the other day to check out the Belfair and Twanoh State Park. Belfair was nice but we weren't impressed with Twanoh.

We signed up to be camp hosts at Kitsap Memorial State Park. We filled out the paperwork and now we are waiting for them to contact us to tell us where we can go get fingerprinted. We thought that might be a fun way to stay in different places. It is free and most of the time you don't have to do much but walk around and greet people and make sure everything is running smoothly. We might get to do that before we go back to Mexico. That would be cool. Then we can see if we like it or not. It is just one way to travel around and see different places.

Today, the 22nd is my niece's birthday. She has also retired so she is going to have a great life!!! I am so excited for her!!

Today my friend, Judy and I are on a road trip. We go somewhere every year for 3 days. We decided it was cheaper to do our trip during the week as prices are more reasonable than on weekends. So our adventure trip this time is to Centralia. It is located south of Olympia and has lots of outlet and Antique shops to explore.

I booked a room for us at La Quinta Hotel in Lacy, which is right outside Olympia. We started out finding places to stop and look and/or shop. We like going into the Dollar, Goodwill, craft places and fabric stores. We couldn't check into the hotel until 3:00pm so we had time to kill. We stopped for lunch and when it was time for check in we looked for the hotel. It wasn't the easiest to find as it was hidden behind some trees and off a side street. With using GPS we finally found it. After getting settled we left to find places to shop and then had dinner. After dinner we went back to the hotel and put our swim suits on and headed for the hot tub. Judy is 7 years older than I am and she is starting to have trouble with her knees, so we make a great pair. Her knees and my back. The hot tub felt so good. After that we went back to the room to rinse off and then settle in for the night. We opened our bottles of wine, as she drinks a sweet wine and I drink red, and sat and watched TV and relaxed. We are looking forward to a busy fun day tomorrow.

Next morning we got up around 8:30am, got dressed, had a bite to eat and off we went!!! We walked and walked and then walked some more. We thought we would have lunch at McMenamins in Centralia but after looking at the menu it was too pricey and the food gourmet. We just wanted something simple for lunch. So we ended up at the Country Kitchen which is a really good place to eat. Then it was more shopping and snooping. We had a great time and we now call ourselves the turnaround girls. We made more turnarounds trying to find places than ever before. It was crazy but it is always an adventure. On the 3rd day we checked out of the hotel and headed for Tacoma. We know the area there and the shops to visit so we finished out our day in Tacoma and ended up having dinner at a Sizzler restaurant. There isn't one in Bremerton anymore and we miss it. I love their salad bar. After dinner we were ready to head back home. We were tired but we walked a lot and got our exercise. I had found some treasures that were on my wish list so I was happy about that.

Our grandson Brody has a soccer tournament this weekend, the 26th. We won't be able to see him play on Friday but will on Saturday and Sunday. It was pretty hot on Friday, in the 80's so I heard they didn't do so well. They did not win but they were playing older kids and this was to get them to develop better skills and team play.

We made reservations at the only Hotel that wasn't booked or super pricey. We drove to Redmond, 60 Acres where Brody was playing and found the field. We had to park way far away from the field but there again, an opportunity to get my steps in. The boys had to play a good team and second half Brody's team did much better. They lost but it was a good experience for them.

After the game we went to lunch in Woodinville. We had Brody with 3 of his soccer team mates, Conor, us and Brooke and Ernie. After lunch we said goodbye as we had to check in at the hotel. It didn't look like much from the outside, but was really nice on the inside. We had a nice room that had a sitting TV area. Later on, we got together with Ernie, Brooke and boys for a while. Had a nice visit. I brought the picture scrapbook with me so Ernie and Brooke could look at it and also 3 of Ernie's letters he wrote to us when he was in boot camp in the Air Force. They got a kick out of them. The big boys were off playing and Conor was being a character as usual. Then we left so they could get the boys to bed early as they had one game to play the next morning. We went back to the hotel and relaxed and had some wine and watched TV.

Next morning we took off for the soccer field to watch Brody play. He didn't have much energy and they didn't play as well as they could have. Second half was better but they lost 3-0. They have another tournament next weekend, so maybe they will do better. I think that one they play their own age group. Of course we will be there.

We got back to the trailer on Sunday late afternoon. There was a baby shower going on which was coming to an end. We got to meet the expectant mom, and saw Tyler again. Tyler is Ron's grandson. He and his wife, Jocelyn are in the Navy and stationed in San Diego. They have to go back on Monday. It was nice to see some of our friends there too and said hi. It looked like they had a great time.

The last Monday of July and my friend Judy and I are going to her dermatology appointment in Tacoma. She liked what I told her about the doctor so she wanted to be seen by them as well. She has a spot they think might be cancerous, but they will look at it and determine what to do. She was nervous and I was glad I could be with her to try and take her mind off it. As always we find our favorite shops to stop at, have lunch and then after the appointment head back to Bremerton. When she had finished with her appointment, she said they just took a biopsy to have a look and see if it was cancerous or what it was. They would call her with the results. So right now we don't know if is cancer or not. But she feels better that she was seen and checked out. The doctor she was going to see in Poulsbo was the same one I went to see which looked at me as though I had 2 heads. He was going to burn the spot out on her shoulder. The other doctor said that wasn't a good thing. So we were both happy with the doctor in Tacoma.

While I was with Judy on Monday, Dave had his doctor appointment and all went well. So we are both healthy and will live a while longer. LOL!!

Time is getting tight for us now and our calendar is starting to fill up with things and people we want to see before we leave. We will probably head back to Mexico mid to late September. We want to be at our house first part of October.

Nature At It's Best

Happy June. School is almost out for the kids and today, the 2nd is our grandson, Cameron's 4th birthday.

We woke up to see this little guy on the fence outside our trailer window.

I went for a walk today and was happy to see the view I did of the Bremerton Ferry and Mount Rainer.  It was a good walk but I had to climb a hill and found how out of shape I really am.  Got to get back to walking on a regular bases!!!  Anyone listening to me would have thought I was a train huffing and puffing up that hill.  Yeesh!!!  It was worth it to get these pictures!!!!

On the 3rd, there was a Celebration of Life for our friend Jacqui Stevenson. I wrote about her in the last blog. It was a great gathering with lots of food, games, stories and pictures. It is what should be done when one has passed instead of a funeral!! Remember their life in a happy way. It reminds me of the way the Mexican people treat the dead. Each year they honor their loved ones who have passed with food, flowers and a big celebration!!!

Dave took the truck into the dealer to have a protective coating put on the front and side of the truck to protect from dings and such when you are driving. They said it would take a couple of days so they gave him a rental. It was a brand new 2019 Toyota Camry. Sporty looking car.

Judy, my girlfriend and I got together so she could help me with a memory bear pattern. The Elmo pajamas that Conor outgrew, was given to me so I could make a memory bear for him. Last year Judy gave me a pattern and said it was simple. Well parts of it was, then I hit a brick wall. I worked with it a lot trying to make it go together, but just couldn't. So I brought it up with me to Washington because I knew if anyone could figure it out, she could!! She is a seamstress and quilt maker. Well she found out it wasn't such a simple pattern after all. Someone gave her the pattern and she never tried it. We got as far as putting the head, arms, back/front and then came the legs. We ended up just putting it down and Judy said she would try to figure it out. She is going to London to visit her grandson who is in the Air Force soon, so when she returns we will attack it again.

Today, the 8th, my eldest sister turned 81. Good for her. I hope she has a few more good years ahead.

Our son, Michael and his girlfriend Cathy are into the Renaissance Fair and have a part in it.  They have been involved for years.  Michael invited us to stop by if we wanted to.  So we did.  The fair was being held across the street from the Bremerton Airport.  We found him and Cathy at the archery range.  They both had been shooting at targets.  Michael has a cross bow and Cathy bow and arrows.  They are pretty good.  They were dressed in that period of their clan.

There were demonstrations on axe throwing, jousting and much more.

It was fun and very interesting and loved the costumes!!!  I had never been to a Renaissance Fair before so it was quite interesting.

We were supposed to go to Port Ludlow this morning to have breakfast with the Commodore of the Sail and Power Squadron. He and his wife stayed in the back bay of Port Ludlow to clean the tide marker. Each year it is up to the Commodore of the Sail and Power Squadron in June to clean it. It used to be a big deal when we had a lot of members and it was always fun, but the squadron has dwindled so there are hardly anyone willing to spend a weekend in the back bay of Port Ludlow and harass the Commodore and watch him/her get dirty and wet!!!! Then on Sunday we always went to breakfast at the restaurant there at the resort. So we were dressed and getting ready to leave when we got a call and said don't come as the restaurant was closed for an emergency!! So instead of having breakfast in Port Ludlow, we decided to go to breakfast anyway and went to the Pancake house in town.

The sun is out in Bremerton and it feels wonderful. It is supposed to heat up into the 80's and be nice for Father's Day. We are headed for Sequim on the 11th for a week. There is a nice RV park we saw when we were in that area a couple weeks ago. The 15th our friends, Ron and Noreen will join us in Sequim so we can walk the Dungeness Spit. At low tide you can walk the sandbar to the lighthouse. It is 5 miles to the lighthouse one way. It will be a trek but there aren't any hills so hopefully my back will let me do it.

We are leaving the trailer at the RV Park on Father's Day to come back to Ron and Noreen's house for a gathering of friends and Michael, our son, his son and girlfriend will be there. The weather is supposed to be nice. Then we will head back to Sequim and enjoy for a couple more days before head back to Bremerton.

We stayed at GilGal RV Park in Sequim which is on the East side of the Olympic mountains.

After getting settled at the park, I saw a Robin fly into the tree that was in our camp site.  I looked closer and found little birds that hatched.  So mom or dad was feeding them.  I got some pictures and there were four.  So cute.

I tried not to make much noise and the mom didn't seem to mind we were there.

The next morning I poured a cup of coffee and went outside to sit and enjoy the morning.  It was a beautiful sunny day with just a little cool in the air.  I happened to look down at the grass and saw a grey blob.  I wondered what it was and got up and investigated.  To my surprise it was one of the baby birds.  I was shocked.  He/she was just laying there in a huddle breathing.  I didn't think it would survive.  I didn't want to mess with it so I left it there hoping mom/dad would come back.  I looked in the tree and the babies were gone.  Something scared them out of the nest and it looks like there was only one survivor.  As I sat there I heard the mom/dad calling and to my amazement this little thing chirped in answer.  Then the adult came closer and because I was too close it wouldn't come to the baby.  But low and behold that little thing started moving and chirping.  Then it was up on his legs and hoping toward the adult.  I couldn't believe my eyes.  Yay!!!!  What a strong little bird.  The adult was able to get one feeding in.  After that Dave and I left camp and came back later that afternoon and the little bird was gone!  We hoped it got strong and was able to fly away!!!    Wow, nature is so amazing!!!

The sun was shining and it was quite warm for the first 2 days, in the 80's as a matter of fact!! Our kind of weather. We got settled into our spot with the help of the camp host. It was rather painless with the help. The sites are close together but each site has a small grass area with a picnic table and some small trees. We are here for a week so we plan on exploring.

One day we went to Port Angeles to shop at Harbor Freight. Dave was able to find a couple of items he needed and I had fun just snooping. Another day I walked to the grocery and hardware store which was wasn't far away. I wanted to go to the Dollar Tree but it didn't look as though it was open, so I walked to the hardware store and found some interesting things to look at. Then to the grocery store to pick up a couple items. When I got back to the trailer I told Dave he had to go to the hardware store to check it out.

Another time we walked through the town of Sequim. Not many shops there but it was fun just to walk and see what was there. I had to take a picture of this old wrecker truck. Reminded me of the Disney Movie for Queen, the race car and his buddies and the wrecker was named Ma tur!!

Anyway—then I had to take a picture of an old grainery. Right in the middle of town is awesome.

We ended up at a treasure second hand store and Goodwill. I can't pass up one of those. I found a couple kitchen utensils and a Celtic knot basket to hang on the wall.  For 99 cents I couldn't pass it up. Dave's heritage is Welsh. On our way home we stopped at a Thrift shop, then had lunch at the Hwy 101 diner.  It was decorated in black and white and a lot of pictures of Elvis Presley and James Dean.

After lunch we continued to walk home looking in the shop windows.  Noreen had told us about a Import fabric place we had to stop in.  It is named Unique Imports and the material comes from around the world.  A lot have an Indian flare to it.  They had some beautiful fabrics and I had fun looking. We enjoyed talking to the owner.  Very nice and friendly lady.  We left there and got back to the trailer.  That was quite a walk but fun. I had put in my 10,000 steps. That made 2 days in a row.

On Saturday the 15th, our friends, Ron and Noreen couldn't join us for the Dungeness Spit walk. That was disappointing but family came to visit them and that is super important. So Dave and I went down to the Dungeness State Park and headed out on the spit. It was a cold and brisk day but the sun was shining. There was so much beautiful drift wood lying around and a few seagull waiting for the wind to come up.

The wind was supposed to come up later in the day so we wanted to get the walk in early. You can't take anything off the beach which is kind of a bummer, but we understand. Dave and I walked almost 2 miles when we decided to turn around and head back to the car. I was wearing a hat but I needed something to cover my ears as the cold made them hurt. Dave said the same thing. I found out there was no way I would have been able to make it to the lighthouse and back without having major hurt with my back. Oh well! Next time I hope we can walk further and I would definitely wear a knit hat that covers my ears, and shoes made to walk on sand and pebbles. I was dressed warm otherwise. It is a beautiful place!!

Sunday, Father's Day, Dave drove back to Bremerton to Ron and Noreen's to celebrate with some of their friends, family and our son, Michael, his son David, and Michael's lady Cathy. We had barbecue tri-tip steak, potato casserole, pasta salad, appetizers and lots of sweet deserts!!!  This picture is of our son Michael with his girlfriend.

This picture is of our hosts, Ron and Noreen.

Then there is our eating area in the driveway.  It was too hot to eat on the patio.  Ron and Dave wore their hats.

Above is our grandson David, Michael's son.  Looks just like his dad did at that age.

We played bocce ball in their backyard and had a blast. Around 6:00pm, we decided to leave right after Michael did, since he was parked behind us!! We were back to the trailer in Sequim around 8:30 or so. I called my boys to wish them a happy father's day and unfortunately Ernie had to fly out to Gardner, California to attend meetings on Monday-Thursday.

Monday we visited our friends who use to belong to the Sail and Power Squadron when we were involved. They have a beautiful home in Sequim so we got the tour of their house and acreage. They have about 2 acres which they have chickens, a garden outside in raised beds and a hot house with the more delicate plants. In the front yard a cherry, and pear tree, and a couple more as well. It keeps them busy that is for sure. Julie is still working from home while Dan does the upkeep to the yard along with a hired gardener. They also have another building on their property which they use as an Air B and B. Dan's mother lives in a small home that is attached to the house. She is 99 years old. Wow! Sequim is known for having the best weather year round with little rain. We can see why people want to move there. But they still have a lot of gray skies which would not be good for me! I need warmth and sunshine!

Tuesday we packed up the trailer and headed back to Bremerton. We did get an invite to join some of our older friends at an RV park not far from Sequim, but we couldn't. I had a doctor appointment on Thursday so we had to decline. It would have been fun. We heard from them that they walked to some Falls, did beach walking and Tide pooling and had a great time.

We are back in Bremerton now and it poured yesterday evening. We couldn't believe it. There was another time when we had heavy rain also. At least the trailer gets washed and the truck too!

Today was my doctor visit and all is well except for some suspicious spots on my face and one on my back. Doctor is referring me to a dermatologist. I had asked him a while back to send me to one and he did, but when I got there the doctor looked at me like I had 2 heads and didn't do anything. He just said my spots were nothing. Well those spots keep coming back and my doctor asked about my nose. I told him that I had had a spot on it froze a long time ago but I still get sores coming back and it hurts when I accidentally hit it. About 2017, I had a tiny piece of growth on my left shoulder cut out and it was cancerous so I am always watchful. So now I will be seeing a different dermatologist and hope for better results. Then sometime before I leave to go back to Mexico, I get to have a colonoscopy!!! Yay???? I just hate the prep but glad I have it done. Had one polyp removed so don't want anymore.

Saturday, the 22nd was a birthday party for our grandson, Cameron. He turned 4 on the 2nd. It was a cold gray day and they were holding the party at a park in Tacoma. We got their around 1:00 as we were going to take the boys home with us to stay the night. My son Jon was waiting for his wife to bring the cake as it was in the back of her car. Jon didn't have room in his for it. Well she ended up getting sick but managed to deliver the cake anyway. We saw her for a few minutes and wished her well. After she left the pizza arrived. So all of the kids were called for pizza and cake. Cameron was really excited and got some great gifts.

After all the presents were opened we cleaned up, and Jon took all the stuff to his car and then moved his car behind our truck so he could put the boys car seats in the truck. Then we left and when we got to the trailer the boys were really excited. Cameron likes to cook so he was using Ron and Noreen's small fire pit with a grill on it to cook steaks (which were bricks); vegetables (rocks) for an outdoor picnic. Jonathan Jr. played soccer with grandpa and I was invited to sit on the patio and wait for the picnic to begin. After awhile at play it was actual dinner time. I made mac and cheese and chicken nuggets for the boys. Dave and I had leftovers. After dinner and dishes, we went outside some more to enjoy what was left of the sunshine. Then the call came to clean up and put everything back where they found it. They also dug in the dirt and rocks. So once that was done, they came inside. We pulled the sofa sleeper out for the boys to sleep on and they never saw one of them before and were so surprised and excited. They brought their sleeping bags and pillows to sleep in and on.

Around 10:00pm we called lights out and we all went to bed. The boys went right to sleep.

Next morning we had breakfast and got all their things packed up as we were taking them back home. We got the boys to their house around 1:00pm. Stayed for a short time as Susannah still wasn't feeling well. We gave hugs and kisses and then it was off to Ernie's to dog and house sit while they were in Spokane for the week. Ernie and family left that morning so we won't see them until Friday when they get home. Unfortunately Brody has to go to his dad's for the weekend so we won't get to see him. But there is still lots of summer left to get to see him.

It was kind of boring at Ern's but we did get out and I went to the Good Will store to get a book and then there was grocery shopping. They didn't have much food. They took a lot with them in the trailer.

Friday came and they came home late afternoon. Conor was really tired so he wasn't real sociable. We visited with Ern and Brooke after Conor went to bed. Heading back to the trailer in the morning.
